VAM’s work “Electronic Membrane” is a collection of formal gray summer suits, blending the oversized aesthetic from the 1930s and 1980s with the current Zeitgeist. By using an image-generating AI, she purposely highlights the machine's "mistakes" in the garment designs. This disrupts the class signals associated with traditional suit elements, embracing the wearer's creativity and individuality. Her design practice focuses on merging digital tools with traditional tailoring, bringing suits to a younger demographic.
